Wari LACE’s career in fashion began in the hairdressing industry, where she had the opportunity to work with Caucasian and African/Caribbean hair types. Whilst working at top salons in Mayfair and Chelsea, Wari soon began participating in photoshoots for hair magazines and modelling at major trade and public shows, such as the Afro Hair and Beauty exhibition at the Business Design Centre and Alexandra Palace.
Wari’s other exhibition work includes assisting exhibitors with the promotion of products and services at Earls Court, Olympia and Excel.
The world of hair, beauty and fashion became Wari’s passion, leading her to work as a make-up artist where her handiwork was featured and credited on front covers and inside magazine pages.
In front of the camera, Wari has worked in film, on commercials and for corporate videos and was one of the first models to promote ‘Red Bull’ and ‘Sky’ when they were first introduced to the market.
Behind the scenes, Wari has participated at the London and Milan Fashion Weeks, supporting prestigious fashion houses in the promotion of their brands. Whilst working with ‘Taka Naka’, Wari’s role included handling seasonal orders, organising and facilitating fashion shows, assisting with hall and stand hire and marketing. Around Europe, Wari has worked closely with executive teams, conducted meetings on the behalf of fashion houses, product manufactures, modelling agencies, buyers, suppliers and also at ground level.
Wari has participated in organising events attracting between 50 and 5000+ attendees and is excited about the opportunities LACE (London Africa Cultural Event) has to offer which she has founded in 2013. Always passionate to promote African culture, Wari brings proficient interpersonal skills alongside valuable insights and expertise gained over her twenty years of fashion experience.

For her this is not the case. So, why not browse through the tabs and explore her Curriculum Vitae!
